There is often inconsistent listening behaviour. This is because the
parts of hearing which are important to speech (the high frequencies)
usually deteriorate sooner than those which relate more to
environmental sounds (low frequencies).

you to receive the four issues of hearing matters, the journal of SHHH Australia
Inc. It covers many issues of interest to all hearing impaired people.
This publication is just one of the way in which SHHH works to increase
public awareness about hearing loss.
